Alexis
Julémont

After studying drama at the Mons Conservatory and spending time on an Erasmus exchange at KASK School of Arts in Ghent, Alexis Julémont began his career as a stage actor. His early work includes performances in Spring Awakening (directed by Jasmina Douieb) and Outside, in Front of the Door (directed by Héloïse Meire). He soon broadened his artistic approach, working alongside director Frédérique Lecomte, exploring street theatre through collective creations with the company Les Vrais Majors (La Montagne, performed over 300 times), and engaging in more experimental research with the Calme & Angoisse Collective. At the same time, he appeared in television and film productions, including The Break (La Trêve) and Mandy by Panos Cosmatos, starring Nicolas Cage. In 2017, he founded Iceberg Company and began developing his own work, including Frisko et crème glacée / Teenager Tragedy, which received the Minister for Youth Award and the Press “Coup de Foudre” Prize at the Huy Festival. In 2019, he created La Fonte, which was awarded a Special Jury Mention for Risk-Taking at Huy. The text was later published by CTEJ. In 2023, he premiered Nostalgica, his first production for adult audiences, presented under the aegis of Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles. Iceberg Company creates a form of pop theatre that is vibrant, emotionally charged, and explosive—one that embraces joy and excess as forces for transformation.
