Somewhere inside a theatre, Régis, a stage manager, is dismantling a set when two extras ring at the front desk: a rock and a puddle of water. Where have the rest of the crew gone? Drawing on audience mediation techniques, Régis improvises a tour of the stage.
What if the show has already begun? What if those who usually remain on the sidelines—the stage manager, the extras—became the main characters?
In a gleeful jumble, the rules of theatre unravel before our eyes.
Through absurd situations, offbeat dialogue, and poetic gestures, the piece explores our relationship to fiction, to the stage, and to the act of creation. It reminds us that theatre is a powerful tool for inventing shared stories, and for creating moments of freedom where anything can happen.
An invitation to laugh, to marvel… and to surrender to the magic of fiction—and the absurdity of being alive.
