This is the story of three sorry souls, part Pierrot, part vagabond, hauling their travelling theatre behind them: the Thoroughly and Terribly Tormented Theatre Mirajovitch.

Our three delightfully old-fashioned friends wander from village to village, telling sad and beautiful stories. More often than not, they sleep under bridges or in parks. In summer, they don't mind so much: they love the stars, and they love being woken in the morning by the sprinklers. But winter is harder, because it's cold and they only have one jumper between the three of them.

So when autumn comes, Rivel, Nello and Fidelio ask for a roof in exchange for a tear. Because yes, they are the very best at it, and famous throughout the land: their stories tear your heart out with their beauty, and the tears that spill from your eyes are the fullest, most beautiful and most sincere your cheeks will ever taste.

Today, they have arrived here, in this very cold country, determined to make us cry so they can sleep somewhere warm.
